How to pick a random winner
- Add the names. Type a name and press Enter or Add Name. You can add up to 100 entries.
- Press Pick a Winner. The first time, choose whether winners are removed from the list or can win again.
- Watch the draw. The names roll, slow down and stop on the winner, who is shown full screen.
- Pick again for a second or third place, or press Clear All to start a new list.
Picking several winners for a giveaway or raffle
For a giveaway with more than one prize, choose Remove winners when asked. Each winner drops out of the list, so the next draw only includes people who have not won yet. Removed names stay listed under Previously Removed, so you have a record of who won and in what order. If someone earned extra entries, add their name once for each entry.
Is the draw really random?
Yes. The winner is picked from the list with your browser's built-in random number generator before the animation starts, so every entry has the same chance and the rolling names cannot be timed or stopped early. The animation is only there to make the moment fun to watch, or to record for your followers.
Save and share your list
Save keeps a named copy of the list in this browser, so a class roster or team list is ready next time. Share makes a private link that opens the same list on another device or for a co-host. The names travel inside the link itself, not through our server.
Ways people use it
- Classrooms: choose who answers next, who presents first or who leads a group.
- Social media giveaways: draw a winner from the people who entered or commented.
- Office raffles and events: door prizes, team quizzes and secret prize draws.
- Everyday decisions: who goes first, who picks the film, whose turn it is to pay.

Frequently asked questions
How many names can I add?
Up to 100 names, each up to 80 characters. Add them one at a time: type a name and press Enter or Add Name.
Can I pick more than one winner?
Yes. The first time you press Pick a Winner you are asked whether winners should be removed. Choose Remove winners, then keep pressing Pick a Winner for a second, third or tenth winner. Nobody can be picked twice in the same run.
Is the draw fair?
Every name has an equal chance. The winner is chosen by your browser's random number generator before the names start rolling, and the animation always stops on that name. It is fine for giveaways, classrooms and office raffles, but it is not a certified draw for regulated lotteries or prize promotions that legally require one.
Can someone have more than one entry?
Yes. Add the same name twice and it has two chances to win. That is an easy way to run a giveaway where some people earned bonus entries.
Are my names uploaded anywhere?
No. Names stay in your browser. Saved lists are kept in this browser only. A share link carries the list after the # in the address, and that part of a link is never sent to our server.
Can I use it for an Instagram or TikTok giveaway?
Yes. Add each entrant's username, turn on Remove winners if you need several winners, and screen-record the draw so your followers can see it was random.
