How the couple spinner works
Select the kinds of date you're up for (at home, out and about, free or cheap, adventurous, or cosy) and press Spin for a Date. The spinner picks one date night idea at random, so nobody has to answer "I don't know, what do you want to do?" again.
Make it a ritual
- Weekly date night: spin on Sunday and book whatever comes up for the week ahead.
- No vetoes: agree beforehand that you'll do the first idea it lands on. Half the fun is the stuff you'd never have picked.
- Work through the list: choose Remove dates when asked, so you never get the same idea twice in a session.
- Share it: send the spin to your partner so the plan's agreed before the evening starts.
Date ideas for every budget
There are 70 ideas across five groups. Free or Cheap and At Home cost little or nothing. Out and About and Adventurous are for when you want to book something. Cosy and Rainy Day is for staying in when the weather's grim.
Frequently asked questions
What is a couple spinner?
A random date night idea generator. Pick the types of date you want and spin; it chooses one idea for you.
Are there cheap date ideas?
Yes. Select Free or Cheap, or At Home, for dates that cost little or nothing: picnics, stargazing, free museums, cooking together.
Can we use it for a long-distance relationship?
Many of the At Home and Cosy ideas work over a video call: cook the same recipe, watch the same film, or start a two-person book club.
Can we avoid getting the same date twice?
Yes. On your first spin, choose Remove dates and each picked idea drops out of the list until you start again.
